Good-Bye Stacey, Good-Bye (Baby-Sitters Club) Review

The book "Goodbye, Stacey, Goodbye (BSC #13)" was the first book in the series that I owned and I absolutely loved it. My copy is all tattered, torn, and taped to keep the cover on. That's how much I loved it and reread it. It started my obsession with the series, which will never be over, I don't think, even though the final book has been written. This series is too good to forget about, ever, even when I'm 93. I think I'll always read these books, because I feel like I'm a part of it. They are written so well that I understand the book so much. I love the BSC so much. It has made me a lover of reading. I feel like I've grown up with all the babysitters (not a spoiler so I cannot name names).
This series is such a wonderful series to get hooked on.

Dawn's Wicked Stepsister (Baby-Sitters Club, 31) Review

Dawn's Wicked Stepsister (Baby-Sitters Club, 31)

I liked this! It was a very real portrayal of the struggles to adjust to life in a stepfamily. Dawn discovers that being friends with someone & LIVING with that person are two different things. Dawn & Mary Anne each have different habits, like Dawn is a vegetarian & Mary Anne is a junk-food & meat lover. They discover that the CAN'T share a room & nearly drive each other to the brink of insanity when Dawn wants the radio on & Mary Anne needs complete silence to study. I thought it was funny & creative how Dawn thinks up a way to scare Mary Anne, who still believes in ghosts, into a near-faint! Poor Mary Anne! All in all...realistic.

Mary Anne vs. Logan (Baby-Sitters Club #41) Review

Mary Anne vs. Logan (Baby-Sitters Club #41)

Two thumbs up for Mary Anne! She's my favorite book character in the world! She faces her ongoing struggle with shyness and sensitivity with a courage I really admire. Here she faces a difficult problem when Logan doen't know when to back off and tries to take over her life. I felt sorry for Mary Anne when Logan was inconsiderate enough to drop in unannounced that winter afternoon when Mary Anne was reading and pressured her into going with him to skate. I was so glad when Mary Anne finally got up the courage to break it off with him at the end. I know that must have been painful for her. The Fabulous Five could use a few lessons from Mary Anne. Logan really needs to butt out sometimes or he could lose Mary Anne for good! Keep it up, Mary Anne!

Mary Anne feels she and Logan have been spending too much time together. They fight over silly things and Mary Anne never has any time to herself. Finally, she sadly realizes what she must do: break up with Logan. The Baby-sitters are shocked!
